The Lower Haight
LATEST UPDATE 1/1/99
The Lower Haight, the region bordered by Oak, Webster, Divisadero and Pierce streets is our home. The Lower Haight was the first place we lived when we moved to San Francisco those many, many years ago. We chose to live in the Lower Haight for a number of reasons: the rent was cheap, there was excellent public transportation, the Safeway and Walgreens were within walking distance, and there were a number of bars and restaurants. Almost four years later, we are still living in the Lower Haight.

The LHRG is a listing of restaurants, bars and shops - with reviews by locals. The LHRG will let you know where the tourists go so we can avoid them.
There are currently three main sections of the LHRG:
|The Resource Guide||Reviews of every shop, restaurant and resource for the residents of the Lower Haight. All Haight Street stores updated 1/1/99.|
|NIMBY Chronicles||Not In My BackYard! The homogenization and touristization of the Lower Haight must stop! Click here to find out what you can do to help!|
|Current Developments||A monthly listing of neighborhood developments. Updated 10/20/98|
Work is progressing on the LHRG. Updates will be made on or around the 1st and 15th of each month.
